So for the last 2 years, I feel that Bose has been very stagnate with actually innovating their products, and instead they have just been putting out minor upgrades which honestly could have been software updates, or they just add AI, and they slap a new name on them. And instead of making the hardware changes that are needed… they’ve just been putting out new color ways for all of their products. Now dont get me wrong, I think the Bose Smart Soundbar is a great mid sized sound bar for anyone to consider… I really like the Bose QC Headphones cause they are super comfy. And the Bose QC Ultra Earbuds 2 are super comfortable in ear earbuds, but these are still missing some very crucial hardware updates.
So this is the Bose Soundlink Plus, its Bose’s newest mid sized speaker and I actually prefer the sound and performance of this speaker over the Bose Soundlink Max, which has been improved, but I still find it very hard to justify it. Now I think the Bose Soundlink Plus performs better than the Max, and I do have high hopes for the Soundlink Max 2 now… but bose is till doing bose things. So today we’re going to checkout the Bose Soundlink Plus and lets see if its right for you.
Just like the Sony 1000XM5’s, the Sony 1000XM6’s are perhaps that best ANC Headphones to fly with cause they block out the most amount of noise, and thanks to their built in atmospheric pressure sensors, they should be able to block out the most amount of noise while at cruising altitude. And thankfully, Sony changed the hardware on the 1000XM6’s so they’re a little more comfortable than the 1000XM5’s and they have a smaller case again, making them better for traveling. But today we are going to compare the Sony 1000XM6’s to both the Bose QC Ultra and the Bose QC headphones. Now no, Bose’s headphones dont have as many bells and whistles as Sony’s headphones, and they dont perform as well as Sony’s headphones… but Bose’s headphones have always stood out because of their super comfortable fit and durable design. So for summer 2025 we actually have two brand new mid sized speakers to choose from, the JBL Charge 6 and the Sony ULT Field 3… but today we’re going to compare them to both the Bose Flex Gen 2 and Beats Pill. All of these speakers are similarly priced but both the JBL Charge 6 and Sony ULT field 3 are noticeably bigger than both the Bose and Beats Pill.
