So if you’re looking for a mid sized soundbar for a medium sized living room that’s going to deliver a very big bang for your buck… then I feel that both the Sony Theater Bar 6 and JBL Bar 500 Mark 2 are good options to consider. However these two systems do have their key differences, in both sound quality and connectivity. So today we’re going to compare these two systems and lets see which one is right for you.
The Bose Smart Soundbar is my favorite soundbar to recommend if you’re looking for a sound bar for a small or medium sized living room, and its a great option if you’re looking for something for your bed room cause it sounds good and its super compact and it doesn’t need an external subwoofer. However, for me it is very hard to justify building out the Bose Smart Soundbar with an external subwoofer, cause bose gets very pricy very quickly.
So this is the JBL Bar 500 Mark 2, and for the most part, JBL’s soundbars are a solid option that will work well with all TV’s. JBL’s soundbars also usually have an HDMI in port which is usually reserved for more premium home theater systems now. And having an HDMI in port on your soundbar can be very useful if you have multiple game consoles and or a Blu-ray player or something else… so this way you can be a little more efficient with your HDMI ports. Nonetheless, today we’re going to checkout the JBL Bar 500 Mark 2 and lets see if its right for you.
So JBL’s sound bar’s have always been good and they always brought with them a lot of extra features… but I always felt that they were a little clunky especially their software and audio normalization. But now we have the JBL Bar 300, and overall this is a good sound bar, but more importantly, the software is a lot more refined.
