So if you’re looking for a mid sized soundbar for a medium sized living room that’s going to deliver a very big bang for your buck… then I feel that both the Sony Theater Bar 6 and JBL Bar 500 Mark 2 are good options to consider. However these two systems do have their key differences, in both sound quality and connectivity. So today we’re going to compare these two systems and lets see which one is right for you.
The Bose Smart Soundbar is my favorite soundbar to recommend if you’re looking for a sound bar for a small or medium sized living room, and its a great option if you’re looking for something for your bed room cause it sounds good and its super compact and it doesn’t need an external subwoofer. However, for me it is very hard to justify building out the Bose Smart Soundbar with an external subwoofer, cause bose gets very pricy very quickly.
So this is the Sony Theater system 6 and this is the Sony Theater Bar 6. And even though these two systems have very similar names… they are very different from one another. Speaker set up wise and especially connectivity wise. Now both of these systems are going to work well with any tv out there and they are a great value… but for a slightly better experience you do want to use them with a Sony tv. So this is the Sony Theater Bar 6… not to be confused with the Sony Theater system 6 which has a larger subwoofer, and it comes included with rear satellite speakers. Now what makes the Sony Theater Bar 6 special is that this is mid tier soundbar from Sony that has upwards firing drivers which is going to give you true Dolby atmospheres support. Cause right now if you want upwards firing drivers, for the most part you’ll have to go with something more premium.
