So the Bose Lifestyle Ultra soundbar is here, and overall this soundbar has a lot of bass all on its own and it does sound noticeably more open than its predecessor… but if you’re someone that’s looking into a soundbar like this one, you most likely have a more premium TV… and if you’re spending all that cash on a premium tv like the Sony Bravia 8 or 9 or on an LG G6 or a Samsung R95H… personally I think its better to get matching soundbar cause you’re going to get more features and better usability.

So the Bose Lifestyle Ultra soundbar is here, and overall this soundbar has a lot of bass all on its own and it does sound noticeably more open than its predecessor… however for me, it is very hard to justify a premium soundbar like this cause you most likely have a premium TV. And if you have a premium tv then I recommend that you just get a matching soundbar for your tv so that your soundbar will use your tv’s built in speakers in conjunction with your soundbar. So if you have a sony tv, get a sony soundbar… if you have an LG TV get an LG soundbar and if you have a Samsung tv, get a Samsung soundbar.

So like I have been saying for a long time, the Bose Smart soundbar is my favorite medium sized soundbar to recommend for anyone looking for a soundbar for their medium sized living room or bedroom. But I was never the biggest fan of Bose’s larger soundbars cause they had very little hardware for their price, they sounded very harsh and they didn’t have upwards firing speakers, meaning that they didn’t have true dolby atmospheres support, which is a hard no for me.

So a few months ago we checked out the Sony Theater Bar 6 and the Sony Theater System 6, and overall, I think both of these systems are great, especially the Sony Theater System 6 cause you get a very capable surround sound system that also does a very good job of delivering power to all of your components with just two power outlets, which I feel is super important either if you live in an older house in the north east or if you’re renting an apartment. However, the theater bar 6 and the theater system 6 are not self contained systems like lets say the Bose smart soundbar or the Sonos Beam Gen 2, cause these systems will require and external subwoofer.
