So Sony recently released their Sony 1000XM6 headphones, and overall I think these are a great pair of headphones to fly with cause they block out the most amount of noise while at ground level, and thanks to their atmospheric pressure sensors, they are going to block out way more noise while at cruising altitude than lets say the Bose QC Ultra, Bose QC Headphones, AirPods Max or Sennehsier Momentum 4’s. Overall, theres a lot to like about these headphones… but in my recent batch of reviews I did have some critiques.

So for the last 2 years specifically, Sony has been revamping all of their products. Their speakers, headphones, and home theater stuff has just been getting way better. And most recently sony released the Sony 1000XM6 ANC headphones which have the best ANC out there, and last year they put out the ULT wear which are a pair of mid tier ANC headphones that you cant go wrong with. And the Sony WH-CH720N are a great pair of Entry Level ANC headphones that you also cant go wrong with. So in this video we’re going to break down Sony’s current 2025 ANC headphones line up.

But still, these are a good pair of headphones to consider cause they sound really… they dont sound as good as their predecessors… but they still sound very good. And thankfully, Sony changed the hardware on the 1000XM6’s so they’re a little more comfortable than the 1000XM5’s and they have a smaller case again, making them better for traveling. But today we are going to compare the Sony 1000XM6’s to both the AirPods Max and the beats studio pro. Now the AirPods Max are one of my favorite sounding headphones, and they have a much better sounding microphone on them for phone calls than the Sony. But the Beats Studio Pro are hard for me to justify. Nonetheless, let see which ones are right for you.

The Sony 1000XM6’s hands down have the best Active Noise Cancelation making them the best ANC Headphones to travel with, and the Sony ULT Wear are a solid pair of Mid Tier ANC Headphones which honestly I feel that you cant go wrong with. However, the Sony WH-1000XM6’s are a lot more premium than the ULT Wear. So today we are going to compare these two headphones and lets see which one is right for you.

So its late 2024 and both the Sony 1000XM5’s and Sony 1000XM4’s are my top picks if active noise cancelation is very important to you… specifically if you plan on flying a lot with your headphones, cause thanks to the atmospheric pressure sensors in these headphones… both the 1000XM5’s and the 1000XM4’s block out way more noise than other ANC headphones will at cursing altitude. Both the 1000XM5’s and 1000XM4’s block out noticeably more noise while flying than the Bose QC ultra, Bose QC, Sennheiser Momentum 4’s, AirPods Max, Sonos ACE, and so on.
