Sonys new speaker line up isn't all the different from their previous line up. But in order to better compete against JBL's speaker line up, Sony toughened up and refined their new Sony XB21, Sony XB31, and Sony XB41 portable bluetooth speakers . For the most part I think they are worth the upgrade, but in this video I'm going to point out the major improvements found in Sony's new speaker line up.
The Sony XB41 is a very welcomed improvement over the Sony XB40. The Sony XB41 looks much better than the XB40 and its also much more durable. For the type of music I listen to I think the Sony XB41 sounds better than the JBL Xtreme. Although the JBL Xtreme 2 is right around the corner, I think the Sony XB41 is strong contender for this years best improved award.
Sony is clearly coming after JBL with their new XB21 XB31 and XB41 portable bluetooth speakers. The new Sony XB31 in particular is almost better than the JBL Pulse 3 and JBL Charge 3. The XB31 sounds great, has a decent battery, and its now more durable than the other 2 JBL Speakers. Don't get me wrong, I love my JBL Pulse 3... But for most people I think they will be better off with Sony XB31.
The Sony XB31 and Sony XB41 bring a fresh new design and added durability to Sony's newest speaker line up, but I don't think the Sony XB21 looks as good as its bigger siblings. Although its an ok product, I still find myself liking the previous generation Sony XB20 more than the XB21. The Sony XB21 is good, but I would get the Sony XB20 before they're gone.
I've always really like the Sony XB30, and now theres the Sony XB31. The Sony XB31 isn't entirely new but its a much tougher and much more refined Sony XB30. Although both the Sony XB31 and Sony XB30 sound exactly the same, the XB31 looks much better and its much more durable than the out going Sony XB30.
Sony's first google assistant integrated smart speaker, the Sony LF-S50G is a great alternative to the original google home. I'm not the biggest fan of the Google Home cause of poor sound quality and limited physical controls. But the Sony's Google assistant smart speaker gives you full control with gestures, improved sound quality and an LED display on the front.
Zhiyun has been teasing their upcoming Zhiyun Smooth 4 for the last few days and they even recently announced that its going to be retailing for $139. So until we can test that gimbal out lets see how the Zhiyun Smooth Q compares to the new DJI Osmo Mobile 2. Even though the Zhiyun Smooth Q is now selling for $99 I still think the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is the better buy.
DJI's new DJI Osmo Mobile 2 smartphone gimbal is all around better than the original DJI Osmo Mobile. The DJI Osmo Mobile 2 has a much better battery life, its lighter, and the motors don't over heat any more. DJI also managed to cut the price down from $200 to $130. But with those price cuts sacrifices were made on the hardware side.
