I think Sony has been recently killing it with their headphones. Their 1000XM3’s are currently the best ANC headphones on the market and their WH-CH700N are a really good pair of budget friendly headphones packed with a lot of features. But their speakers on the other hand could use some work. Namely, their Audio clarity could be better and their Software and Wireless Party Chain feature could be more stable. So let's see what the new Sony XB501G is all about.
Fitbit has been on the upswing ever since they released the Fitbit Versa, its still a fitness tracker first, and smart watch second… but everything its supposed to do it does it very well. And I still think the Versa is still the best fitness tracker in Fitbit’s line up. But now we have the Fitbit Charge 3, it does almost everything the versa does but in a much smaller and inconspicuous package.
Today we’re going to be comparing some of my favorite mid sized speakers. I actually like each of these speakers for different reasons, and depending on your needs and budget one of these is going to be better suited for you. We have the brand new JBL Charge 4, the also brand new UE Boom 3, the Sony XB31 and one of the coolest looking speakers out there… the JBL Pulse 3.
Ive always secretly been a really big fan of Hyper X and their Hyper X Cloud Alpha gaming headset. For a Hundred Dollar gaming headset I honestly couldn’t ask for more. Since they’re so comfortable and light weight you forget you have them on when you’re gaming. And since they bring extra little touches like a braided cable and a minimal design, over all they’re a great value. So when HyperX announced their new Cloud Mix, a gaming headset that you can also use as a bluetooth headphones… I had to check them out. And even though they do sound pretty good, I think they’re pretty hard to justify.
The New JBL Charge 4 is kind of going through its iPhone XS refresh cycle… As in, its not all the different from the previous JBL Charge 3, but there are some small but significant changes under the hood on the new charge 4. Heres whats new and what I like about the new JBL Charge 4, and do you really need to upgrade if you already have the previous JBL Charge 3.
Last year when I first reviewed the UE Megablast I didn’t like it at all. But then when I resisted the Megablast 8 months later thanks to some software updates and new features, I liked it a little more even though it still had its problems. But now that we have the Boom 3 and Megaboom 3… I actually really like both of these speakers. I feel the Megaboom 3 is so good, it can actually keep up with the big boys like the Sony XB41 and JBL Xtreme 2.
Ive been very vocal about this in past videos, besides AirPods I still prefer to use wired bluetooth ear buds for working out at the gym like the Powerbeats 3 and Jaybird X4 over truly wireless sports ear buds cause they usually have a longer battery life, their bluetooth connection is more stable, they cost less and they have an inline controller. And honestly, these are a really good pair budget friendly earbuds for working out.
