Now its very important to point out that these ANC test were taken while at cruising altitude cause the atmospheric pressure change affects the overall ANC performance on these headphones when compared to ground level.

So the Bose QC headphones are Bose’s mid tier ANC headphones which as the name suggests, they are very comfortable to wear, and they have slightly improved active noise cancelation of their predecessor. So the Bose QC Ultra headphones are a very impressive of premium ANC Headphones that block out a ton of noise, they’re comfortable to wear for hours on end and they have a decently small case which is great for traveling. However they do have their issues and short comings. Nonetheless, today we’re going to compare the Bose QC Ultra to the Sony 1000XM5’s and the Sony 1000XM4’s. Is bose back on top and is Bose worth the premium? I don’t think so.

So after almost 5 years, Apple has finally updated the beats studio pro’s. Now even though I enjoy how these headphones sound and they have a really good microphone on them for phone calls, I feel that these are very hard to justify for premium ANC headphones. On paper, the Sennheiser Momentum 4’s are amazing. Their battery life simply crushes both of Sony’s headphones. Their ANC rivals that of the Sony 1000XM5’s, and the Momentum 4’s simply sound better than both of Sony’s headphones. However, there are some quirks about the Momentum 4’s which are just too hard to ignore. So these are the V-moda M 200 ANC headphones… they’re V-moda’s first pair of ANC headphones… and unfortunately I find it very hard to justify their $500 price tag. Performance wise their Active noise cancelation performs more akin to a pair of entry level or mid tier ANC headphones in 2021, sound quality wise they sound very narrow and bright, and comfort wise… they aren’t the best.

Overall, I think the Bang and Olufsen H95 ANC headphones are a pair of fine headphones. They perform very well and they have exceptional build quality. But they retail for an eye water $800. Now personally I think paying $800 for any pair of ANC headphones is insane… but naturally we’ve gotta see how the H95’s stack up to the Sony 1000XM4’s, Bose NC 700’s and the Sennheiser Momentum 3’s.

And in general if you’re looking for a pair of premium ANC headphones than the Sony 1000XM4’s are a good option and if you’re looking for a pair of mid tier ANC headphones then the Sony XB900N’s are a good option as well. But now that we have the new Sony 1000XM4’s the differences between these two headphones is a little more significant than when we would compare the XB900N to the previous 1000XM3’s.
