So in this video we’re going to compare the active noise cancelation performance while at cruising altitude on the Bose QC Ultra, and Bose QC, versus the Sennhesier Momentum 4. Now its very important to point out that these ANC test were taken while at cruising altitude cause the atmospheric pressure change affects the overall ANC performance on these headphones when compared to ground level.

Now the Sennhesier momentum 4’s are a great pair of ANC headphones to travel with cause they block out a ton of noise… but they also have a monster battery life of 50 hours with their ANC turned on… and battery life is something that Bose’s headphones do struggle with. However, the Momentum 4’s aren’t as comfortable or as convenient as bose headphones. Nonetheless we’re going to jump into the ANC Test.

ANC Tests

So like you may have just seen, all of these headphones block out an impressive amount of noise, however the momentum 4’s managed to block out a little more noise than the Bose QC’s but the Bose QC Ultra managed to block out more noise than the Sennheiser Momentum 4’s.

But like I mentioned earlier, the Sennheiser Momentum 4’s are great pair of headphones to consider traveling with cause of their 50 hour battery life… however these aren’t as comfortable as Bose’s headphones cause they can have more clamping force and their ear pads can heat up faster than boses headphones due to their surface.

But my biggest critique about the Sennhesier Meomtum 4’s and traveling in this case… this case is very large and it take up a lot of space in your back pack or carry on. But also, this case has a feature where when you take these headphones out of their case, they’re going to automatically turn on… now this is cool and all… but I am still having this issue where if these headphones are up right in your bag, they will power on and connect to your phone. And personally I find this to be very annoying cause when im walking around the airport, I like to use my AirPods, and when im sitting at the gate or on the airplane I like to use my headphones.  I know that this is a first world problem, but its very annoying when these headphones turn on when they’re in your bag.

But overall, personally I prefer to travel with either of Bose’s headphones over the Sennehsier Momentum 4’s cause they have a smaller case and they’re a lot more comfortable to wear. But yes, the momentum 4’s block out more noise while at crusing altitude than the Bose QC but the Bose QC Ultra block out more noise than the Sennheiser Momentum 4’s.
